Terms of use

Last updated 17 June 2026 · applies to the Strata iOS app and this website.

The short version

You buy Strata once and it’s yours. We don’t do subscriptions, we don’t take features away after you’ve paid, and we don’t touch your data. The rest of this page is the same promise in slightly longer sentences.

Who we are

Strata is published by oomny — the trade name of Oomny B.V. You can reach us at support@oomny.eu — a real person answers. Full company details are on our legal page.

The deal

Your licence

When you buy Strata, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Usage Rules. The app, its name, design and code remain ours; please don’t copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute it, except where the law expressly allows.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s standard licensed-application terms, which apply to your use of the app alongside these terms. Apple is the merchant of record. Refunds are handled by Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something doesn’t work and Apple says no, write to us anyway — we’d rather fix the problem.

Your data is yours

Strata is a tool you run for yourself. The questions and answers you write are yours; they stay on your iPhone, and we never copy, share or upload them anywhere — there is no account and no cloud of ours for them to go to.

Conformity and updates

We provide Strata with reasonable skill and care and keep it in conformity with what we describe, including the updates — security updates among them — needed for it to keep working as described for a reasonable time. This is in addition to your statutory rights for digital content under EU and Dutch law.

What we can’t promise

We work hard to make Strata reliable, but no software is perfect. The app is provided with care, on an “as is” basis to the extent the law allows, not with guarantees of uninterrupted perfection. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the maximum the law allows. Nothing on this page limits or excludes anything that may not lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and your mandatory rights as a consumer under Dutch and EU law.

Apple

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support; we are.

Changes

If we ever need to change these terms, we’ll change this page and update the date at the top. We won’t change the deal: bought once is bought forever.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law, with disputes for the competent Dutch courts. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in always continue to apply.
