Restore your purchase
New phone, or reinstalled? Your unlock is tied to your Apple account, not to us:
- Sign in with the Apple account you purchased with.
- Open Strata → the unlock screen → Restore Purchases.
Family Sharing is enabled — household members share your unlock at no extra cost.
Set the annual reminder
Strata only works if it nudges you when your date comes around. When you write your questions you pick the day that matters — a birthday, the new year, the first of spring — and Strata schedules a reminder that repeats every year. Allow notifications when it asks; without them the once-a-year rhythm can’t hold. You can change the date any time by re-opening the question editor.
Move your record to a new iPhone
Your questions and answers live on your device, not in a cloud of ours, so they move the way the rest of your iPhone does:
- Set up the new iPhone from an encrypted iPhone backup (iCloud or your Mac/PC) — this is Apple’s device backup, which carries Strata’s data along with everything else.
- Install Strata, then tap Restore Purchases to bring back your unlock.
Strata has no account and nothing syncs through us, so a device backup or transfer is the way your record travels. If you set up a new phone “as new” without restoring from a backup, the on-device record does not come across — keep an encrypted device backup if it matters to you.
Quick answers
- Why can’t I see past years yet? By design. Strata unseals last year’s answers only after you’ve written this year’s, so today’s answer stays honest.
- Subscription? No. €4.99 once for everything, forever. Free covers up to three questions.
- Can the app write my questions? No — and that’s deliberate. The words are yours; that’s what makes the record worth re-reading.
- Feature ideas? Welcome — write in and tell us what would make your yearly sitting better.
